What sample formats does aerial support?

WAV, AIF/AIFF, and FLAC. Any sample rate and bit depth are supported. aerial handles format conversion internally, so you do not need to pre-process your files.

Does aerial come with samples?

Yes, aerial comes with 150 sounds that were originally the inspiration for our first plugin Essentials.

Can I use aerial with loops or long samples?

aerial is designed for one-shot samples. Very long files will load and play, but the audio analysis is optimized for short, melodic sounds. Loops may not produce meaningful scatter plot positions.

Why do some samples appear in unexpected positions on the scatter plot?

The analysis is automatic and statistical. Unusual or heavily processed samples may not align with your expectations. Try different axis combinations to find a view that makes more sense for your material. The scatter plot is a discovery tool, so unexpected placements can sometimes lead to interesting finds.

Can I run aerial on more than 2 computers?

The standard license covers 2 simultaneous activations. If you need additional activations, contact [email protected] and we can help.
